Bundesliga: Jovan Milosevic wechselt nach Stuttgart
The Serbian talent Jovan Milosevic will join the Bundesliga soccer club VfB Stuttgart from the coming season.
The 17-year-old striker last played in his home country at FK Vojvodina Novi Sad and will receive a contract with the Swabians, who are threatened with relegation, until June 30, 2027, as the club announced. According to media reports, the transfer fee is around 1.2 million euros.
“He has a lot of qualities that an attacking player needs,” said sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth about the top scorer at the last U17 European Championship. “We will accompany Jovan step by step in his further development at VfB and introduce him to the demands of professional football.”
Milosevic himself had already confirmed the move to VfB about two weeks ago. “I think the Bundesliga is very good for the development of young players and Stuttgart is a club that works with young players and sells them,” he said in an interview with the Internet portal “Mozzart Sport”. It was a “joint decision” by the family, Milosevic continued. “I think it’s a very good step for the continuation of my career, but also for something bigger after that.”
