Bundesliga: Laut Sky: Gladbach lehnt Bayern-Angebot für Sommer ab
According to information from the TV broadcaster Sky, Borussia Mönchengladbach has rejected another offer from champion FC Bayern for goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
According to this, Munich is said to have offered eight million euros plus one million euros in possible bonus payments for the 34-year-old Swiss, whose contract in Gladbach expires at the end of the season.
After goalkeeper Manuel Neuer broke his lower leg, FC Bayern is urgently looking for a keeper for the rest of the season. On Monday it became known that Alexander Nübel would not be returning to Munich from AS Monaco early, as his advisor announced. The 34-year-old Sven Ulreich is currently Neuer’s deputy at Bayern.
Should Sommer still switch to Bayern, Borussia would apparently have a successor in Jonas Omlin from HSC Montpellier. According to Sky, an offer from Gladbach has not yet arrived.
The league leaders from Munich start the rest of the season with a tricky away game at RB Leipzig on Friday. The Gladbachers meet Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.
