Bundesliga: Wolfsburg verstimmt über Stuttgarter Vorgehen bei Guilavogui
Managing Director Jörg Schmadtke from VfL Wolfsburg is upset about the actions of Bundesliga rivals VfB Stuttgart in courting Wolfsburg soccer professional Josuha Guilavogui.
“This chatter about one of our players and putting him in the shop window with a price tag is not appropriate,” complained Schmadtke in the “Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung”. “If VfB Stuttgart is interested in a VfL player, they should talk to us. Anything else is dishonest,” he added.
The club from Lower Saxony is basically ready to talk, especially since the 32-year-old Frenchman is no longer the first choice at VfL. The former VfL and current VfB coach Bruno Labbadia would get the experienced man in the midfield veteran in the sixth position that the Swabians are looking for. And although Wolfsburg could still collect a fee for Guilavogui six months before the end of the contract, the north Germans are upset. “We have already filed that with VfB,” said Schmadtke.
