Fußball-Bundesliga, Fehlender Impfstatus: Hertha BSC reist ohne Kapitän Marvin Plattenhardt ins Trainingslager nach Florida
Bundesliga club Hertha BSC is contesting its winter training camp in the USA without captain Marvin Plattenhardt. The 30-year-old full-back is not allowed to travel to the United States because he has no vaccinations, the club announced on Tuesday (03.01.23) on its website.

Before leaving for Orlando, Hertha’s coach Sandro Schwarz said: “We discussed the matter in advance. It’s not a problem for us. We’ll take it as it is and we’ll make the best of it.” Plattenhardt is now training with the U23s and will rejoin his teammates after his team’s return.
With a total of 28 players, including four goalkeepers, the Berliners are guests at the camp at the IMG Academy in Bradenton near Tampa until January 14th. During this time, four friendlies are on the program.
The coach also gives four youngsters the chance to show themselves at the training camp in Florida: 18-year-old Julian Eitschberger and Lukas Ullrich, as well as Pascal Klemens, who is a year younger, in defense and Ensar Aksakal in attack. The 21-year-old signed his first professional contract with Tor a month ago.
