Trainingslager in Doha: Nagelsmann gönnt Bayern-Profis freien Nachmittag
After several intensive practice sessions, Julian Nagelsmann is giving the FC Bayern Munich pros a free afternoon at the training camp in Qatar.
“The lads are already feeling the strain a bit,” said the coach of the Bundesliga leaders, explaining this reward. After the arrival on Friday, the team trained in the evening. At the weekend, Jamal Musiala and colleagues each had to go to the training ground twice. There was also a running session in the morning.
Nagelsmann is happy to be able to prepare again with his team after the World Cup and before the season continues. “I think the Bundesliga’s way with the winter break is good. The second half of the season already includes a lot of games,” said the 35-year-old coach, looking at the strain. Bayern start the continuation of the Bundesliga on January 20th at third-placed RB Leipzig. “The first game is of course an important game in which we can set the course,” said Nagelsmann in Doha with a view to the title fight.
The German champions of the past ten seasons go into the next 19 games with a lead of four points over second-placed SC Freiburg and six points over Leipzig.
