Transfermarkt: Hertha holt Angreifer Fabian Reese aus Kiel
Bundesliga club Hertha BSC has signed offensive player Fabian Reese from second division Holstein Kiel.
The 25-year-old signed a contract until 2026, as announced by Hertha. After striker Florian Niederlechner, who is also free, Reese is the second new signing that the Berliners have announced for the summer.
“Fabian Reese has developed very well in recent seasons and has been the focus of some clubs,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic, “he is a fast, dynamic striker who can play both on the wing and in the centre .”
Reese made 16 league appearances for Kiel this season, scoring five goals and providing four assists. The 1.87 meter tall professional can be used both as a center forward and as an outside attacker. Born in Kiel, he moved from his hometown club Holstein to FC Schalke 04 in his youth.
After stints at Karlsruher SC and Greuther Fürth, he returned to Kiel in 2020. In addition, Reese recorded four goals in ten games for the German U20 national team.
